Bonjour vous tous/Hello everyone,

Je me suis rendu compte que je n'avais donné de nouvelles à personnes depuis un petit bout de temps. il faut dire que le travail n'a pas arrêté, et que mon accident m'a aussi beaucoup occupé entre les visites à l'hôpital, les séances de kiné et la physiothérapie. A coups de 35 minutes d'exercices 5 fois par jour, ça bouffe du temps, et ce d'autant plus quand on a beaucoup de travail.

I suddenly realised that I hadn't given any news for a while. I have to admit that I haven't stopped working, and that my accident also kept me very busy with visits at the hospital, therapy sessions and of course, the dayly regimen of physiotherapy. With 5 35 minutes sessions per day, it takes a lot of time, even more so when you're busy with work.

Alors mon genou... L'attelle a été enlevée il y a trois semaines et je suis maintenant armé d'uniquement une béquillle. Ca évolue doucement, la jambe est encore un peu faible, mais on y arrive tout doucement. En bref, tout va bien. Je prends l'avion pour Paris demain et pour être sûr de ne pas avoir de problème, j'ai demandé un service fauteuil roulant à Air France, qui a aimablement accepté. merci Air France! Je vous raconterai comment ça s'est passé :)

So, my knee... The brace was removed threee weeks ago and I am now down to one crutch. It's progressing slowly but surely, even if the leg is still a bit weak. But everything's good. I'm flying to Paris tomorrow, and to be sure everything's ok, i've organised a wheelchair service with Air France, who kindly accepted to help. I'll tell you how it went.

Petite histoire (pas) rigolote.

Samedi dernier, Simon et moi étions invités à un mariage dans un beau château. Soirée sympa avec des amis. Et au moment de partir, je glisse sur le marbre noir de la réception de l'hôtel, kilt volant mieux qu'en dansang le Gay Gordon. Arrivé au sol, ma jambe n'était plus alignée avec ma cuissse... genou déboîté avec moi qui hurlait sur le marbre froid. Je vous passe les détails, mais je ne souhaite vraiment pas que ça arrive à quelqu'un.

A little (non-) funny story.

Last Sautrday, Simon and I were invited to a wedding in a great castle. Nice evening with some friends. But then, as we were about to leave, I slipped on the reception hall's black marble flooring with my kilt flying about better than if I had been dancing the gay Gordon.... Once on the floor,, my leg wasn't in aligment with my thigh... I had dislocated my kneecap and i was screaming my head off on the cold marble. I won't give you any more details but I hope this happens to nobody.

 Mais bon, ce n'est pas trop l'horreur. Une fois le genou remis en place (ça fait un mal de chien, je vous le dis), il n'y avait heureusement aucun dommage permanent. pas de ligaments déchiré, rien de cassé. En gros, j'ai eu beaocup de chance. Donc pendant deux semaines, je me retrouve avec un magnifique carcan de soutien pour majambe. Très seyant. :)

But hey, it could have been a lot worse. Once the injury was reduced (and it hurts like hell!) there was no permanent dammage, no torn ligaments and nothing broken . I was very lucky. So, for two weeks, I have to wear thins very strange contraption splint thingie... Very fitting :)
